When I first heard about the Vickers Tactical Mag Catch and Slide Stop, I thought to myself, this is a solution to a problem looking for. I bought these two for my Glock 43 pistol a few months later to see what all the fuss was about.

As with many other products I've reviewed while blogging, it turned out I was wrong again. Sometimes products are more effective than what appears in the gun store, or work better at the range. With Larry's background, there must be a solution to this madness, right? I think there is.

The first step in installing new parts is to remove the stock slide stop and magnetic lock. This might sound scary if you've never done it before, but it's really easy. All you need is a screwdriver and a punch (or a Glock tool like I used).

The main work on this gun was done by my friend at TXT Custom Gunworks, we will be doing a full review of his work soon. I have to say, I absolutely love everything he does.

The first step is to remove the sliders from the frame as you did for cleaning, then use a hammerless hole punch to push the pins from left to right. You may need to turn the sliding stop slightly to loosen the pin, the pin has a groove that connects to the sliding stop and holds everything in place.

To release the slide stop, you must also remove the locking block. In the image below you can see two wires on the removed pin. These are the kits that attach to the slide and hold it in place.

Next is to remove the magnetic catch. I prefer to use a pick with a 90 degree point, it seems to help remove the spring without scratching the inside of the snap. Full explanation: Tango made a tool to convert downmag versions. Vickers magazine issue

These two parts of the game don't seem to be worlds apart, but once you get the shot going, you can see how far the Vickers part goes. You might think that the magazine is in danger of withdrawing, but you'd be wrong. The shape of Larry Catch can be easily accessed without any problem.

Next comes the slideshow stop. The Vickers part is on the right and the stock part is on the left. I really like the extra texture on the Vickers part, it seems to really help with locking the slides with wet hands. why do you need it This is a huge plus if you ever have a breakdown and need to lock the slides back to clean with bloody or wet hands.

Once attached to the gun and reassembled, you can see the magazine and slide stop protruding more. I'm going to have to see how different I feel once I hit the limit.

All that was left to do was go to the range and do some practice, which is exactly what I did. I think I reload a little faster than with the stock setup, and I find that I don't have to change my grip like I used to.

The first step in installing the new parts is to remove the factory slide and magnet. If you've never done this before, it might seem scary, but it's really simple. All you need is a screwdriver and a punch (or the Glock I used).

To free the slide, you need to remove the lock. In the picture below you can see two lines of paint that have been removed. It's the plug-ins that interface with the chip.

The two parts compared are worlds apart, but once in the gun you can see how far the Vickers part has come. You might think you're in danger of dropping the magazine, but you'd be wrong. Larry's grip allows for easy access without causing any problems.

A sliding stop is next. The Vickers part is on the right, the stock is on the left. I really like the extra texture on the Vickers part, which seems to help relock the slide with wet hands. Why do you need it? This can be a huge advantage if you ever have a problem that requires you to lock the chip and clean it with bloody hands or even wet hands.

Once it's mounted on the gun and everything is put together, you can see how noticeable the grip and slide are. Once I get to that range, I need to realize how much of a difference it makes.

The only thing to do is get on the track and do some practice, which is what I did. I felt it was a little quicker to reload than stock and found that I didn't need to switch the grip as much as before.

So would I recommend getting a Vickers kit for the gun? Yes. With an MSRP of less than $20 per unit, it's hard to go wrong. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how good it is.

Aluminum Glock Frame - Dasan is a Korean manufacturer and they have been making good Glock barrels and now they are bringing down the Glock. They started with the Glock 19 and made the lower ones out of aluminum.

There is an interesting design going on at the center. The mag grip is so similar to a 1911 mag grip that I thought it was amazing why they didn't go with the factory Glock mag to enable the user to build the sights below.

Saints Running Back Alvin Kamara Arrested In Vegas After Pro Bowl
